A meal commitment means that you purchased the oven from tovala.com at a discounted price with the agreement to order 6 weeks of meals within the first 6 months of owning the Tovala Smart Oven. Until the commitment is complete, your account will remain active and the only way to ensure you do not receive meals is to skip meal orders.
For example: If you purchase an oven with a meal commitment on January 1, that commitment means you agree to order meals 6 times before July 1. You could order meals 6 weeks in a row and be done in February, or you could order meals for 1 week each month from January through June and meet the commitment. There is a lot of flexibility in how you meet the commitment over the course of your first 6 months with Tovala, and you can adjust what weeks you get or skip meals in the Tovala App.
How can I check my meal commitment status?
You can check how many orders are left in your meal commitment any time by going to the Meal Plan section in the Settings tab of the Tovala app or the Account tab of my.tovala.com.
Do I have to get meals every week?
No! We allow you to skip up to 5 weeks at a time, but for the skip to be applied to a specific order, you must skip before the order is processed. If you do not skip or select meals, we will select meals for you and charge your card. The deadline to make any changes to your order is always on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT the week before the order would be delivered.
Learn how to skip a week here
Once you complete your commitment, you'll be able to pause your deliveries and skip anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks at a time.
Do I have to order a specific meal plan size to fulfill my commitment?
Any meal plan size will fulfill the commitment, as long as you place an order on 6 separate weeks. We offer meal plans as small as 4 meals per week, and as large as 16 meals per week. You can always adjust your plan size overall or just on a specific week in your app or online.
Can I cancel my subscription while I'm in a commitment?
If the meals are not a good fit for you and you do not want to continue ordering meals to satisfy the commitment, you always have the option to buy-out out of the commitment. Buying-out of the commitment means paying the buy-out amount indicated in the promotional terms when you purchased the discounted oven. Just reach out to Customer Support and let us know that you’d like to buy out of your commitment, and we’ll charge the credit card on file on your account to close your meal plan.
If you are still within your 100 day return window, you can return the oven for a full refund and cancel your meal plan. Reach out to Customer Support to check if you are within the return window and start the process.
We offer a 100-day trial for our ovens even while on a commitment. Any time in the first 100-days, if you are unsatisfied with the oven or the meal program, you can return your oven for a full refund, and we will cancel the meal plan.
If the 100 days has passed and you want to cancel the program without ordering the 6 required orders, then you can buy out of your commitment by paying the difference between our MSRP oven price and the discount price you paid.
Note: If you purchased your oven for full price on tovala.com or from one of our retail partners such as Amazon or Costco, you do not have a meal commitment. If you already own an oven you can sign up for a flexible, no-commitment meal plan at any time in the Tovala App.
