Air frying in the Tovala Smart Oven Pro
- Place food in the air fry basket. For best results, place food in a single layer leaving space between pieces. Then insert the air fry basket in the middle rack position above the oven rack.
- (Optional) If you're air frying food that is likely to drip, place the sheet tray on the oven rack under the air fry basket for easy cleanup. Make sure the oven rack is in the lowest rack position with the curved edges facing down.
- If you're not using the sheet tray, clean the crumb tray at the bottom of your oven after air frying.
- Never line the bottom of your oven with metal foil or any other material (even if it's deemed "oven safe").
- Press Bake on your oven, set your desired Temperature and Time, then press Start.
- Remove food promptly with an oven mitt when cooking is complete.

For best results:
- Make sure your air fry basket is not overfilled. When the basket is overfilled, air is not able to properly circulate around your food, resulting in less crispy food. For best results, cover the bottom of your basket with just one layer of food with the pieces not touching.
- Do not use too much oil. Too much oil will make your food less crispy.
- Never line the bottom of your oven with metal foil or any other material (even if it's deemed "oven safe").
- For extra crispy meals, try preheating your oven before air frying. Learn more about how to preheat your oven.
Do you have any recommended cook times or temperatures for air frying certain foods?
- While some air fry manufacturers recommend to lower the recipe temperature by 25 degrees, we suggest using the same recipe temperature and following the air frying guidelines included with the oven.
See the Air Frying Guidelines card included with your oven.
