You can toast bread, bagels and more in your Tovala Smart Oven the same way you do in a typical countertop toaster oven. The Toast button on the oven runs a cook program that cycles through various modes and temperatures based on which of the 5 toast levels you select.
- Position the oven rack in the lowest position with the curved edges facing downward.
- Place your bread on the oven rack.
- Tip: If you prefer a lighter toast you can place your bread on the air fray basket in the middle position instead of on the oven rack.
- Press "Toast" and use the + or - buttons to set your desired toast level.
- Tip: You can also start a Toast cycle from the Tovala App by going to the Cooking tab then tapping Search in the top right corner and searching "toast".
- Press "Start".
- Remove the toast from the oven when the cook program ends.
There are 5 toast levels to choose from, with 1 being the lightest and 5 being the darkest.

1 | Light | Toasts thinner bread or mini bagels |
2 | Golden Brown | Toasts bread of regular thickness or bagels |
3 | Dark | Toasts thicker bread with more texture or gives a light toast to frozen bread |
4 | Darker | Makes toasted sandwiches or gives a medium toast to frozen bread |
5 | Very Dark | Gives a dark toast to frozen bread |
