You need a smartphone or tablet with the Tovala mobile app to initially set up your oven and connect it to WiFi. Without a WiFi connection, you can't scan Tovala Meals, but you can use the buttons on the front of the oven to access the basic cook modes like Bake, Broil, and Toast.
Once your oven is connected to WiFi you can scan Tovala Meals using the built in scanner on the oven. Meals can be ordered on the Tovala app or on a web browser at my.tovala.com.
