How are Tovala Meals delivered?
- We send Tovala Meals via Veho, UDS, OnTrac, UPS, or Fedex in an insulated box with an ice pack(s). The carrier is determined by availability based on where you live.
- Meal boxes are shipped safely in transit for either one or two days, depending on your distance from our Chicago or Salt Lake City based production kitchens.
Will I get an alert with tracking?
- We’ll send you an email each week with your tracking number so you can keep an eye on it. You can also check your package status in the Tovala App by clicking on the box icon next to the order.
How long do my Tovala Meals remain safe to eat when sitting on ice in insulated Tovala packaging?
- Your meal packaging has been designed and tested to keep your meals cold during their trip to you. We select the appropriate ice and insulation combination depending on the weather for your zip code (and the weather that the package will see enroute to you). As long as your ice packs are at least half frozen when you open your meal box then your food should be safe to consume. It is normal that ice packs may start to melt before you open your package–in fact, the melting ice is what absorbs heat and keeps your food cold.
